Allied Universal is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Armed Nuclear Security Professional. This position is responsible for ensuring the physical security of nuclear power generation facilities against unauthorized access and potential sabotage. Duties include conducting stationary guarding and patrols (both on foot and in vehicles), managing access control for personnel, materials, and vehicles, and monitoring surveillance systems. The Security Professional will also prepare reports, deter criminal activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additional responsibilities may involve participation in nuclear training and adherence to established post orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and recommend improvements for safety and fire hazards.
  • Document incidents, deficiencies, and accidents as per established procedures and implement corrective actions as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Manage access for personnel, vehicles, and materials into secure areas while maintaining accurate logs.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education and Certifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required as a condition of employment.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local regulations and must be fulfilled prior to employment.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to work scheduled twelve-hour shifts.
  • Strong judgment and negotiation skills, along with effective dispute resolution capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and written communication abilities.
