POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Director of Product Innovation at IPG Health is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the product management function, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and market dynamics. This role involves overseeing the product portfolio, managing financial resources, and evaluating project performance through established metrics. The individual will lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance with industry regulations. Key responsibilities include assessing project proposals, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and driving change management initiatives. This position emphasizes strategic oversight, portfolio management, leadership, and effective communication to ensure successful project outcomes within a collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage the product portfolio to guarantee alignment with strategic objectives, resource distribution, and prioritization.
  • Leadership Development: Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of product managers and coordinators, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous enhancement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet business expectations.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Strategic Development:

  • Formulate and implement the product management strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Regularly review project portfolios to ensure alignment with changing business strategies and market trends.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee product initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, effective resource allocation, and prioritization.
  • Optimize resource utilization for efficient project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while developing contingency strategies.
  • Establish quality standards and processes for project execution.
  • Manage project budgets, monitoring financial performance closely.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success.
  • Adapt project management methodologies as necessary based on project needs.
  • Address project challenges and conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of product managers and coordinators.
  • Invest in the professional development of team members.
  • Anticipate future resource requirements and collaborate with HR for staffing needs.
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Utilize project management tools and software effectively.

Project Initiation:

  • Assess project proposals, defining scopes, objectives, and success criteria while securing necessary approvals.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Provide project updates and performance reports to executive leadership.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution within project teams.

Change Leadership:

  • Lead change management initiatives related to projects.
  • Adjust resource allocations as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Product Management (Required)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years in Product Management, with a focus on product strategy and execution (Required)
  • 10+ years in Digital/Tech/Agency Experience (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in Leadership Roles (Preferred)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in product management, strategic marketing, and business strategy.
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of biopharmaceutical advertising.
  • Ability to discuss industry trends credibly.
  • Extensive experience in Digital Production and Product Management.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful digital products.
  • Understanding of UX best practices and collaboration with design teams.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Experience managing relationships with digital agencies and clients.
  • Agile/Lean Development knowledge.
  • Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in creating user stories and project documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

COMPENSATION:

$210,000 - $275,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
