The Airframe and Powerplant Technician II is responsible for inspecting, repairing, overhauling, upgrading, and cleaning aircraft. A&P Technicians ensure that all maintenance is conducted in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, aircraft manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.

Furthermore, Technician II's possess advanced skills to conduct engine runs and taxi operations on various aircraft, perform basic engine rigging, and flight control rigging. They are also expected to communicate effectively with clients, estimate maintenance tasks, and understand fundamental wiring and structural components of aircraft systems. Senior mechanics have the added responsibility of mentoring junior staff and overseeing multiple projects.

  • Interpret maintenance manuals and inspection guidelines
  • Supervise and manage maintenance projects and technicians
  • Conduct general and routine maintenance tasks
  • Inspect completed work for quality assurance
  • Perform complex troubleshooting of aircraft systems
  • Execute complex engine and flight control rigging
  • Conduct engine runs and taxi operations
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, adhere to instructions, and follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with two or more years of relevant experience and/or training; completion of multiple airframe schools is preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
