Position Summary:

The Financial Accountant role encompasses a range of responsibilities including general accounting, account analysis, payroll and benefits recording, fixed asset management, and bank reconciliations. This position plays a vital role in preparing key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting financial analyses, and supporting budget and forecast development.

The Financial Accountant is also tasked with addressing external information requests from auditors and other entities promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations related to general accounting, project accounting, and account analysis.
  • Oversee corporate card programs, including transaction postings and issuance of cards to new employees.
  • Prepare weekly payroll entries and labor utilization reports.
  • Provide financial analyses as requested by internal stakeholders.
  • Compile weekly cash and KPI reports.
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, journal entries, commission calculations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Respond to information requests for external audits and other inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of two years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting.
  • At least one year of experience in cost accounting.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience with a major public accounting firm.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in construction accounting, including percentage of completion.
  • Familiarity with Q360, Sage 100 Contractor, ServiceTrade, and Procore is advantageous.
Compensation:

Annual salary range: $60,000 - $80,000

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands for various tasks and communicate effectively. The employee may frequently need to reach, stoop, kneel, or balance. Occasionally, the employee may lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
