Maintenance Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing non-technical general building maintenance, light custodial, and minor repair duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform general labor work as assigned, including loading, unloading, and moving materials.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Maintain grounds of the facility or property, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, or snow removal.
  • Patrol grounds, common areas, and parking facilities, identifying and reporting maintenance hazards or other property condition concerns.
  • Perform housekeeping functions and maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
  • Paint and patch drywall, performing other minor repairs under supervision.
  • Facilitate office access and office moves by providing moving crates, assembling furniture, office keys, nameplates, etc.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Prepare meetings and conference rooms, arranging tables and chairs as requested.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality.
