This state-of-the-art facility, developed in collaboration with GE Healthcare, is equipped with 20 AI applications, expansive video walls featuring 38 large screens, 32 dedicated workstations, and a diverse clinical team comprising physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.

The CareComm staff utilize these sophisticated resources to proactively identify and address the needs of patients and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care delivery.

As a pivotal member of the CareComm Team, the Clinical Operations Lead RN, under the guidance of the CareComm Operations Manager, is instrumental in optimizing patient access and flow while enhancing safety through clinical expertise, leadership, and critical thinking.

This role encompasses providing both clinical and administrative support to team members within CareComm. Responsibilities may include acting as Administrator on Duty, Patient Placement Specialist, Transfer Center RN Specialist, and Clinical Expeditor, as required.

The Clinical Operations Lead RN is accountable for overseeing daily operations, mentoring team members, and collaborating with the Lead AOD to develop strategic initiatives, ensure task completion, and delegate assignments effectively.

In addition, this position involves participating in the recruitment process, making hiring recommendations, and overseeing the onboarding and training of new team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
  • Developing educational resources for the team.
  • Managing scheduling, including final approvals and time tracking.
  • Conducting medical record reviews as necessary.
  • Handling clinical and administrative escalations, safety event follow-ups, and coaching.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives and assisting with financial management alongside the manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • Experience in Critical Care nursing is highly preferred. Proficiency in navigating EMR and other technological platforms is essential for daily operations.
