Job Title: Network Technician

A-V Services Inc., a leading AV company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical, and computing industry, is seeking a skilled Network Technician to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure network hardware components and cables.
  • Set up and manage network software to ensure efficient network operations.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the network.
  • Ensure the network operates securely and efficiently.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team and management.
  • Perform necessary upgrades to the network infrastructure as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Certified network professional accreditation.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Aptitude for customer support.
  • Ability to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems.
  • Conversant with networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, and SMTP, among others.
  • CCENT/CCNA qualifications are strongly preferred.
