Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager III to join our team at the PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT. As a key member of our Capital Construction team, you will be responsible for managing complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure they are aligned with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor and control project costs, and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and techniques, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Science, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience using project management software, including Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable building methods and systems, and experience in public speaking and presentation.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. The position requires frequent travel, including overnight stays, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
