Project Manager

ZTEX Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in managing, planning, and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Assist project managers in daily tasks and duties
- Prepare and manage purchase orders and subcontractor agreements
- Assist with scanning and filing receipts, tickets, and other documents
- Review and process time sheets from field employees
- Photograph and document work areas as needed
- Use construction management software to track and report cost-related to construction projects
- Deliver documentation, paperwork, and payments to different locations
- Perform takeoffs and quantifications of plans as needed
- Coordinate orders and deliveries of materials with vendors
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices in project management, construction methods, process improvement, technical understanding, documentation skills, and safety management
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, heat, cold temperatures, wind, rain, and blowing dust
- Able to work around moving equipment and tolerate loud noise levels
- Able to walk on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or holidays
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical screening. If applicable to the contract, you may also be required to submit to a background check. Must have reliable transportation to/from work and a valid driver's license at the time of application.
