Your Role in Empowering Music Educators

As an Account Executive at Mississippi Music Inc, you will be instrumental in cultivating, expanding, and establishing relationships with educators, administrators, and influential figures within your designated area. Your mission? Build a strong network that advocates for music education at all levels. Your contributions will be immediate and lasting as you deliver outstanding service and customized solutions to meet the needs of educators regarding rentals, repairs, and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with educators, administrators, and key stakeholders, anticipating their needs and providing exceptional customer service to enhance their experience.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and create strategic plans to broaden our presence and deepen our connections with educators, driving sales and building trust.
  • Engage with educators through in-person and virtual meetings, staying responsive to their evolving needs while participating in relevant conferences and events.
  • Execute daily and long-term tasks across your portfolio to sustain and increase sales, offering valuable insights to improve both B2B and B2B2C interactions.
  • Promote our initiatives, raising awareness and facilitating access to extensive educational resources.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop strategies that enhance student participation and retention in music programs, enriching their educational experience.
  • Provide dedicated support through recruitment, demonstrations, fittings, and rental events, ensuring educators have the necessary tools and assistance to foster thriving music programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Band and/or Orchestral instruments; prior experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, along with a genuine passion for music education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to travel, with a valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.
  • Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evening work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with educators and/or in the music industry.
  • Fluency in Spanish, facilitating effective communication with Spanish-speaking individuals.
