Role Overview:

Warehouse associates are vital to our organization's success. They engage actively, safely, and independently to ensure the smooth flow of products through our distribution system while adhering to quality standards. As a Loader, Non-Formula, your responsibilities will include transporting items into trailers using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts or manually.

The Loader, Non-Formula prepares pallets of outgoing freight for shipment and moves pallets while following all safety protocols and ensuring quality standards are upheld, thereby maintaining the efficient flow of products through the operational process. You will work collaboratively as part of a team within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport items designated for shipment into the trailer using a forklift, pallet jack, or manually, following a predetermined loading sequence.
  • Move outgoing products from the staging area to the loading dock using a forklift.
  • Wrap pallets with cellophane, secure loads/pallets, and ensure shipping labels are correctly placed as necessary.
  • Identify the appropriate slot on the trailer for the order, position it correctly, and secure the load upon completion.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to designated areas or receptacles.
  • Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack them, and transport them with a pallet jack or forklift to the appropriate storage area.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in the warehouse, loading dock, and trailers as required.
  • Adhere to all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures as per company guidelines.
  • Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions or actions immediately.
  • Review work schedules, conduct safety checks on equipment, gather necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  • Inspect empty trailers at the loading dock to ensure they are clean and clear before loading, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Meet the required productivity and accuracy standards as per location and company guidelines.
  • Replace discharged batteries with charged ones and complete the vehicle inspection checklist.
  • Assist Order Selectors and perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by the supervisor.
  • Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
