Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Computer Systems Specialist to join our team at TEK Connexion. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to utilize their technical expertise to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting

Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting services for computer systems, mobile devices, and related equipment. Diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

Network Administration and Monitoring

Oversee the administration and monitoring of network systems, including change coordination, system configuration, drawing management, and the execution of hardware and software upgrades. Ensure seamless integration and maximum efficiency across all systems.

Infrastructure and System Upgrades

Support infrastructure and system upgrades, system refreshes, outages, and various IT projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.

Hardware and Software Installation

Install and modify PCs, peripherals, telephony systems, and printers. Ensure that all hardware and software installations meet organizational standards and requirements.

Video Conferencing Support

Offer support and troubleshoot video conferencing equipment, including Microsoft Teams. Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders.

Server and Network Equipment Management

Provide hands-on support for Active Directory, servers, and network equipment. Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal system health.

Inventory Management and CMDB

Manage local IT asset inventory, stockroom, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of organizational assets and configurations.

Virus Remediation and Security Incident Response

Assist with virus remediation and security incident response when necessary. Collaborate with relevant teams to contain and resolve security incidents promptly and effectively.

Documentation and Procedure Development

Develop and maintain installation standards, documentation, and procedures for computer hardware and software. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in computer systems support, troubleshooting, and administration.
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Windows operating systems, network protocols, and hardware platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
