Senior Mechanical Facilities Engineer - DOD Clearance
Company OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial projects.
This is a remote position, and we require the successful candidate to be based in one of the following states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia.
Salary InformationThe estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of HVAC and plumbing design work.
- Develop mechanical construction and equipment specifications.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and criteria.
- Perform engineering quality assurance checks of project designs.
- Support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules.
- Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
- PE License.
- Experience in HVAC and plumbing/piping systems design and associated engineering calculations.
- Experience sizing and selecting HVAC and plumbing/piping equipment.
- Proficient in editing and writing mechanical construction and equipment specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, experience using HVAC computer load and design programs such as Trane Trace software, knowledge of Revit building information modeling software is strongly preferred, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards. Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, and IBC codes.
- Current passport.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active Secret clearance required with eligibility to obtain Top Secret with SCI.
