Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Senior Controls Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing building control systems, as well as providing technical support and training to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and service building control systems, including complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
- Provide technical support and training to customers, including field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment.
- Assist sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads and managing assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and promoting the sale of add-on work.
- Adhere to all safety standards and provide safety leadership and instruction to controls technicians.
- Train customers in control systems operations and compile job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training form, training certificates, and punch lists.
Requirements:
- Vocational School four-year program graduate, an Associate's degree in a technical field, or two years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
- Minimum of Six (6) years of Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including buildings, chiller plants, and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment, with effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
- Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people, with demonstrated effective writing skills and an understanding of programs and software applications.
- Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
