Drive Customer Retention and Sales Growth

The Technical Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving customer retention and sales growth for James Hardie. Reporting to the Regional Sales Leader or Director of Sales, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to target influential install companies in their respective region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain key relationships with influential install companies in targeted geographies and defend James Hardie's business with them.
  • Target install companies within the region to identify growth opportunities and partner with internal stakeholders to gain business.
  • Support customers as they transition to James Hardie by eliminating barriers to conversion and creating a positive customer experience.
  • Utilize CRM tools to drive informed decisions that enable additional volume growth year over year.
  • Assist Territory Sales Reps and Business Development Manager in gaining additional volume growth year over year.
  • Execute segmentation to evaluate and assess the market and lead all aspects of the customer sales process.
  • Cultivate relationships, grow networks, and nurture leads to identify targets.
  • Be the subject matter expert in all technical installation practices for James Hardie's product offerings.
  • Manage and hold themselves accountable for a priority-based schedule with prospective customers.
  • Flexibility to identify and attend key activities within assigned territory.
  • High level of networking and engagement across the account base.
  • Influence key stakeholders to be advocates for James Hardie.
  • Develop a solid understanding of company products, installation practices, customer programs, and benefits.
  • Analyze and interpret data to drive decision-making in their market.
  • Host, lead, and present in front of large audiences.
  • Possess a passion for their company and personal success to meet or exceed goals.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a high-touch sales environment.
  • High level of organization, discipline, and self-structure.
  • Able to convey construction expertise and knowledge at job sites.
  • Strong sales mentality and understanding of the sales process.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders to become advocates for James Hardie.
  • Travel 10-15%.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; must be from an accredited institution.
