Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Automation’s design engineering, integration, customer service, CAD, and panel shop teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, service partners, and internal company divisions related to Automation.
  • Develop and oversee market-relevant strategies for technology, brands, and services.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and manage employee relations for direct reports.
  • Assess team strengths and weaknesses, driving continuous improvement through talent development initiatives.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure projects meet quality, scope, schedule, budget, and labor productivity goals.
  • Drive operational efficiency by developing and enforcing standard operating procedures, practices, and processes.
  • Provide reports on project performance, status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Forecast and plan for revenue, labor demands, and staffing requirements.
  • Lead annual operational planning and budgeting efforts.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Oversee the development of proposals, equipment specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support project and contract governance.
  • Work closely with other divisions to address project and technical needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to define and execute the Automation sales strategy.
  • Partner with marketing to shape and implement the Automation marketing strategy.
  • Work with the purchasing team to execute the purchasing strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of automation/controls/engineering experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience in the design of industrial plants and warehouses, central chilled water and heating plants, water pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants, or other related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-related technology, regulations, trends, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and administer policies and procedures with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to support and mentor colleagues.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
