Service Operations Technician - Houston, TX

Position Overview

In the role of Service Operations Technician, you will be responsible for traveling to healthcare facilities to perform the installation, servicing, and upkeep of Belimed products while delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical background and outstanding customer service abilities. Candidates may have previous experience in roles such as Automotive Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Electronics Technician, Machinist's Mate, Boiler Technician, Generator Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Appliance Repair Technician.

Comprehensive training is provided for all new technicians, including two weeks of initial classroom instruction, 90 days of on-the-job training, and one week of advanced classroom education.

This is a remote position based from home, requiring travel throughout the Houston area and within a 2-4 hour driving radius.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues utilizing testing instruments.
  • Measure and adjust both digital and analog instrumentation with calibration tools.
  • Install, modify, and repair Belimed and/or third-party equipment.
  • Effectively manage customer relationships by prioritizing their needs and balancing preventive maintenance with daily repairs.
  • Demonstrate proper usage and application of equipment to clients.
  • Conduct product training sessions as necessary.
  • Complete service reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain an organized service vehicle stocked with essential tools, manuals, and parts for efficient repairs and installations.
  • Monitor customer chemical orders, contract sales, and renewals.
  • Foster and uphold strong customer relations through professionalism, ethical conduct, maturity, and sound judgment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial electrical single and three-phase wiring and controls.
  • Experience in troubleshooting water and pneumatic process controls.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic testing equipment, volt-ohm meters, amp probes, and precision temperature and pressure calibration tools.
  • Ability to perform piping tasks with copper, brass, and stainless steel materials.
  • Capable of reading and red-lining P&ID and electrical schematics.
  • Moderate technical aptitude; general computer skills with effective communication abilities via email.
  • Physical capability to lift at least fifty pounds unassisted.
  • Able to climb over and crawl under equipment as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel extensively with minimal notice.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
  • Ability to comply with all credentialing requirements to access customer sites.
