Service Operations Technician - Houston, TX

Position Overview

As a Service Operations Technician, you will be responsible for traveling to healthcare facilities to execute the installation, servicing, and upkeep of Belimed products while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role may be ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical background and outstanding customer interaction skills. Candidates may have experience in roles such as: Automotive Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Electronics Technician, Machinist's Mate, Boiler Technician, Generator Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Appliance Repair Technician.

Comprehensive training is provided for all new technicians, including two weeks of initial classroom instruction, 90 days of on-the-job training, and one week of advanced classroom education.

This position is remote, home-based, and involves travel within a specified area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using diagnostic instruments.
  • Measure and adjust both digital and analog instrumentation utilizing calibration tools.
  • Install, modify, and repair Belimed and/or third-party equipment.
  • Effectively manage customer relationships, prioritizing their needs while balancing preventive maintenance tasks with urgent repairs.
  • Demonstrate proper equipment usage and application to clients.
  • Conduct product training sessions as required.
  • Complete service reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain an organized service vehicle equipped with necessary tools, manuals, and parts for efficient repairs and installations.
  • Monitor customer chemical orders, contract sales, and renewals.
  • Foster and maintain positive customer relations through professionalism, ethical conduct, maturity, and sound judgment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial electrical single and three-phase wiring and controls.
  • Experience in troubleshooting water and pneumatic process controls.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic test equipment, volt-ohm meters, amp probes, and precision temperature and pressure calibration devices.
  • Ability to perform piping work with copper, brass, and stainless steel materials.
  • Capable of reading and red-lining P&ID and electrical schematics.
  • Moderate technical aptitude; general computer skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift at least fifty pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to climb over and crawl under equipment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively with minimal notice.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
  • Ability to meet all credentialing requirements to access customer sites.
