Job Summary

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton, NY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, CNC, and operational problems on assigned equipment.
  • Perform necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Examine, test, and measure equipment for operational and quality specifications, using gauges and instruments.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspections, reporting findings and taking appropriate corrective actions.
  • Install and repair industrial equipment, including pumps, fans, valves, motors, and other peripheral components.
  • Adjust, repair, and replace electrical control components.
  • Install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlet fixtures, and motors in equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, oil changes, and replacement of parts.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in building and maintenance work.
  • Preferred 4 years of experience with troubleshooting and repair of CNC metalworking equipment, including mills, lathes, sheet metal presses, and turrets.
  • Knowledge of PLC and CNC diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals and drawings.
  • Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components of machines.
  • Ability to detect defects in equipment and make proper repairs.
  • Ability to work from sketches, diagrams, and prints, and in the care and use of tools and equipment used in trades involved.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices used in CNC and mechanical machine repair.
