Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient medical and surgical coding, including experience with complicated procedures. You will be responsible for applying coding classification standards and guidelines to medical record documentation, resolving documentation deficiencies through healthcare provider query, and performing quality assessments of records.

You will be responsible for researching errors or missing documentation from medical records, providing accurate coding processes, and maintaining a 95% QA accuracy rate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply coding classification standards and guidelines to medical record documentation.
  • Resolve documentation deficiencies through healthcare provider query.
  • Perform quality assessments of records.

  • Maintain a 95% QA accuracy rate.
Requirements:
  • Three years' experience in inpatient medical and surgical coding.
  • AHIMA/AAPC credentials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote environment.
