Job Title: Commercial Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Amplify People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair fire alarm systems, including control panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, and notification devices
  • Perform system inspections, testing, and maintenance in compliance with NFPA and local regulations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions to ensure all systems function properly and safely
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Program and configure fire alarm systems, including integrating with other building automation systems
  • Provide clear documentation of work performed, including test results and service reports
  • Coordinate with customers and other contractors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Respond to emergency service calls to resolve issues promptly and professionally

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical certification or degree in electronics or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local building codes, and fire alarm standards
  • Proficiency with fire alarm systems from manufacturers such as Potter, Fire-lite, Mircom, DMP, Notifier, Simplex, Honeywell, Siemens, or similar
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Nicet Level 1 certification needed
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 Based on Experience
