Job Summary:
As a Sushi Chef I, you will be responsible for maintaining kitchen logs to ensure compliance with food safety programs. Your role will involve monitoring the inventory of kitchen supplies and food items, as well as determining the presentation of dishes and creating appealing food displays. You will oversee the quantity of food prepared and served, ensuring quality and portion control.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up and dismantle your workstation efficiently.
2. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and proper storage.
3. Thaw frozen food items in the refrigerator as needed.
4. Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to established recipes or personal expertise.
5. Cook and prepare food in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
6. Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process.

Team Collaboration:
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff. Serve as a role model for your peers.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security. Report any maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management. Complete required safety training and certifications.

Professional Appearance:
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, using clear and professional communication.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a related culinary role.
Supervisory Experience: Not required.
Licenses or Certifications: None required.

Compensation Range:
The pay for this position is $22.50 per hour, with potential benefits including a 401(k) plan, paid time off, sick leave, and wellness programs, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
