Bristol Bay Shared Services (BBSS), LLC is seeking a Cost Engineer to deliver on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS). This position is integral to the Engineering and Design Division (D4) within the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert cost engineering support for the planning, design, construction, and upkeep of facilities.
  • Engage with stakeholders and engineering/architectural teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with project specifications.
  • Contribute to the planning, budgeting, design, and execution of new construction, renovation, and enhancement projects.
  • Apply engineering and architectural knowledge to assess cost estimates and contract modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cost engineering for new construction and renovation projects is required.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or architecture from an ABET or NAAB accredited institution, complemented by practical design experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying engineering/architectural theories, concepts, principles, and relevant computer applications in construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of cost engineering principles, theories, practices, and techniques applicable to shore-based engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy cost engineering standards and policies.
  • Understanding of laws, codes, and regulations that influence cost engineering design.
  • Awareness of related architectural and engineering disciplines and their effects on cost engineering design.
  • Experience with Autodesk software, Microsoft Office Suite, and cost engineering applications.
  • Strong ability to produce written analyses, synthesize findings, evaluate recommendations, and communicate effectively through presentations.
  • Expertise in budgeting, planning, project management methodologies, and team collaboration.

Work Environment:

  • Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
