Bristol Bay Shared Services (BBSS), LLC is seeking a Cost Engineer to deliver on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS). This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Engineering and Design Division within the Design and Construction Business Line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert cost engineering support for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Engage with stakeholders and engineering/architectural teams to ensure seamless coordination and integration with project specifications.
  • Contribute to the planning, budgeting, design, and construction phases of new builds, renovations, and enhancement projects.
  • Leverage engineering and architectural knowledge to assess cost estimates and contract modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cost engineering for new construction and renovation projects is required.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or architecture from an accredited program, complemented by practical design experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying engineering/architectural theories, concepts, principles, and relevant computer applications to construction activities.
  • Strong understanding of cost engineering principles, theories, practices, and techniques applicable to shore-based engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy cost engineering standards and policies.
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements impacting cost engineering design.
  • Comprehensive understanding of related architectural and engineering disciplines and their influence on cost engineering design.
  • Experience with Autodesk software, Microsoft Office Suite, and cost engineering applications.
  • Ability to produce detailed written analyses, synthesize findings, evaluate recommendations, and communicate effectively through presentations.
  • Expertise in budgeting, planning, project management methodologies, and team collaboration.

Work Environment:

  • Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
