Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations on construction sites
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety protocols
  • Lead the overall construction effort, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Direct and lead onsite foremen and make informed decisions to drive project success
  • Communicate effectively with foremen, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Work closely with the General Superintendent to coordinate resources, project strategy, and ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain a two-week look-ahead schedule with the project manager
  • Communicate daily with the Construction Operations Manager to discuss schedules and resource needs
  • Review equipment and personnel with foremen to ensure optimal resource allocation
Requirements
  • Willingness to travel 100%
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of success
  • Previous experience with construction management software and MS Office
  • Working knowledge of FAA, USACE, NAVFAC, and state DOT specifications
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage union workforces
  • Willingness to attain necessary certifications for project-specific requirements
