About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Center Logistics Associate to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardware.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments, and upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks, and assist with the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment, compile with Data Center security measures and access controls, and support and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data center operations, procurement, and technical support, to fulfill inventory and logistics needs.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, as well as proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
  • The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and safely in a team setting
