About the Role: The Family Access Center is in search of a dedicated Family Centered Services (FCS) Family Support Specialist (FSS) to provide essential support and empowerment to families facing various challenges. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality services across multiple counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-home support to children and their families, employing evidence-based practices to assist in problem-solving and family strengthening.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for families, promoting child welfare initiatives.
  • Engage in collaborative documentation practices.
  • Establish and nurture effective partnerships with community stakeholders, including social services, healthcare providers, legal representatives, and educational personnel.
  • Maintain regular contact with families as per program guidelines and be available for crisis intervention around the clock.
  • Exemplify professionalism through role modeling and respect in all interactions.
  • Utilize personal transportation for travel to service locations and to provide community-based support.
  • Document and report any emergencies or critical incidents involving clients or staff.
  • Participate actively in individual and group supervision and training sessions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with local community resources and service providers.
  • Availability for on-call duties to respond to crises as necessary.
