Aerotek is currently looking for skilled aircraft structures technicians. Competitive pay range of $30-50/hour based on experience, with per diem options available.
Immediate Hiring:
The Aircraft Structures Technician will be tasked with conducting heavy maintenance and refurbishment of military helicopters, specifically the CH-53E model, as well as the assembly and repair of H53 pylons. The role involves interpreting blueprints to execute repairs, which includes riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, as well as installing structural components to maintain the USMC fleet of helicopters. The technician will also engage in work within the Pylon shop, where the client manufactures and repairs pylons under contract with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This position requires proficiency in metal cutting, bending, drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, and other metal forming and repair activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ Must be prepared to perform a Structures test upon starting: a few dozen rivets, several bends
+ Personal tools required - at least basic hand tools
+ A&P certification preferred but not mandatory
+ Proficient in drilling, cutting, bending, countersinking, and riveting aircraft sheet metal
Experience Level:+ Intermediate Level
