Job Summary

TScan Therapeutics is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Facilities Director/Director of Engineering and Facilities. This role is key in supporting the startup, certification, and ongoing production and maintenance of our clinical GMP manufacturing facility and the operation of our R&D facility.

Responsibilities
  • Support the startup, certification, and ongoing production and maintenance of our clinical GMP manufacturing facility and the operation of our R&D facility.
  • Work cross-functionally with all groups within TScan.
  • Lead the installation of equipment for the R&D, PD, manufacturing, and quality control areas.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute equipment maintenance and calibration programs.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal teams for preparation and execution of calibrations and PMs.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems that occur during routine operations tied to the facilities.
  • Respond to BMS/EMS alarms for critical equipment and critical systems.
  • Work with scientists to specify, order, move/relocate equipment in labs.
  • Maintain and manage all facility support infrastructure and vendors (electrician, HVAC, pH system, vacuum system, generator, CO2, Compressed Air, etc.).
  • Team lead for facility construction projects and facility relocations.
  • Assist with budgeting for the facility.
  • Manage the EH&S group.
  • Manage janitorial services for the facility.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to researchers and organization on ad-hoc requests.
Requirements
  • Required education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Biotech Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience with process and/or plant utility systems, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required to work effectively and efficiently in a team-based environment.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Adherence to domestic and international GMP regulations.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products; ability to learn additional software applications.
