Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and, when necessary, consult with the Shop Foreman or Service Advisor regarding the extent of repairs needed.
  • Relay additional service recommendations to the Service Advisor for client communication.
  • Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to plan and execute work procedures efficiently.
  • Provide accurate labor time estimates to the Service Advisor.
  • Keep the Service Advisor updated on the status of repairs for client vehicles, ensuring timely communication.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies regarding vehicle care and maintenance.
  • Document all repairs and services performed on client vehicles.
  • Utilize the dealership's computer systems effectively.
  • Mentor and assist Technician Trainees in their development.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear in designated areas to ensure personal safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and stay informed about factory technical bulletins.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations, particularly concerning hazardous waste disposal.
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings to stay aligned with team goals.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one to three months of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Operator's Driver's License and State Inspection License are necessary for this position.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role require the ability to stand, walk, use hands for handling and manipulation, reach, climb, and perform various physical tasks. Regular lifting of up to 100 pounds is expected, with frequent lifting of heavier items. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
