Overview
This role is situated within the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), specifically at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), within the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Learning and Diffusion Group (LDG).
Position Summary
As an Executive Assistant, GS, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating overall office operations, coordinating cross-functional projects, and overseeing special assignments related to a variety of critical management, policy, and operational matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive program evaluations, studies, and follow-ups on projects to ensure that the objectives and timelines set by upper management are clearly understood and achieved.
- Lead qualitative assessments and enhancements of management programs, policies, and projects identified as high priority for CMMI.
- Analyze and enhance the effectiveness of current policies while reviewing new policy and legislative initiatives for their potential impact on the organization.
- Actively participate in and contribute substantively to high-level discussions and strategic planning sessions focused on the development of management program policies.
Qualifications

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which may be obtained in either the private or public sector. This experience should include:
1) Proposing enhancements to administrative operations to boost efficiency;
2) Coordinating priority projects to ensure objectives and deadlines are met;
3) Conducting policy analysis to identify issues that may affect program goals.
Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, community, student, social).
Additional Information
This position may allow for flexible working arrangements, including telework, at the discretion of management. Supervisory roles are required to report a minimum of two times per week, while non-supervisory roles must report at least twice per pay period.
