Work Schedule: Full-Time

Shift: Days; Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; no weekends or holidays

Role Overview:

The registered dietitian plays a crucial role in utilizing the nutrition care process to evaluate, diagnose, and provide nutrition interventions for patients. This position adheres to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Standards of Practice and Professional Performance for registered dietitians. The dietitian is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assessment: Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, gather data through interviews, and evaluate anthropometric status.

+ Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to identify nutrition risks and problems, including malnutrition and high-risk health behaviors.

+ Intervention: Provide nutrition recommendations, education, and referrals to enhance patient care.

+ Education and Counseling: Deliver culturally sensitive counseling and education tailored to patients' health literacy and needs.

+ Monitoring: Offer follow-up to track progress and adjust nutrition care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

+ Leadership: Supervise dietetic interns and new staff, staying updated on research and evidence-based guidelines.

+ Communication: Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records and respond promptly to internal communications.

+ Collaboration: Engage in patient care rounds and develop nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field

+ Active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

+ Current licensed status in the state of Florida
