Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at AdventHealth Sebring Wauchula Lake Placid. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care to our patients, utilizing the latest evidence-based practices and standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nutrition Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, identify nutrition risks and problems, and develop personalized nutrition plans to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Education and Counseling: Provide culturally sensitive and evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to patients with various disease processes, using theories and concepts such as the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor patient progress, adjust nutrition plans as needed, and promote optimal outcomes.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Supervise dietetic interns and new employees, participate in research and performance improvement initiatives, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Documentation and Communication: Enter accurate and timely electronic health record documentation, orders, and communication to reflect patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field.
  • License and Certification: Current active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and current active licensed status in the state of Florida.
