Electrical Field Manager

Treehouse is a pioneering startup that's revolutionizing the electrification of homes and workplaces. As our Electrical Field Manager, you'll play a crucial role in building and overseeing our national electrical workforce, ensuring exceptional performance, outstanding customer care, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

The Electrical Field Manager is responsible for supervising, performance-managing, and training a strong, diverse, and inclusive field team. This includes hiring and retaining electricians and apprentices, fostering positive connections across the company, and ensuring installer accuracy, efficiency, and throughput according to company goals.

You'll provide in-field and remote technical support, review site visits, installations, and inspections to ensure installation readiness, and support in-field customer service as an electrical subject-matter expert. Additionally, you'll train team members in new service lines, collaborate with Workforce leadership to inform and improve field support tools, and maintain standard operating procedures and guidelines.

Requirements
  • Active residential electrician certification in the state of California
  • Five or more years of experience supervising a residential electrical workforce, with a demonstrated interest in employee performance management, supervision, and capacity-building
  • First-hand experience in bidirectional charging, storage battery installation, and current techniques in home electrification and renewable energy
  • Full knowledge of and ability to educate on national and regional electrical code requirements, as well as the ability to interpret electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and project specifications related to electrical installations
  • Experience creating and implementing procedures, systems, and software to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement, along with strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfort with independence, a bias for action, learning quickly, and frequent iteration, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment

  • Prior professional experience in an early-stage startup environment
  • Site surveying and design experience
  • Experience training field team members in the use of technology for job reporting, management, and day-to-day communication
  • Comfort navigating CRM and/or field management systems
