Overview:


The Pharmaceutical Services Account Executive will enhance revenue streams from Contract Research Organizations (CRO) and internal lead generation initiatives by fostering relationships with pivotal decision-makers, crafting detailed proposals, and presenting value propositions that lead to the acquisition of new contracts.

This role is entirely remote, and candidates must be located in the United States. The position may involve up to 25% travel to client locations primarily in the Southwest/West Region.

Responsibilities:
Manage relationships with CRO partners by generating proposals, tracking the status of all Statements of Work (SOW) within the account, supporting business strategies with each CRO, and monitoring performance metrics.

Dedicate specific time to prospecting CROs and small biotech/research firms to cultivate new business opportunities.

Develop comprehensive prospect profiles, establish rapport with decision-makers, assess client requirements, and formulate and present proposals to secure new business.


Provide overall support to all accounts to guarantee clients receive the highest level of service during their onboarding phase; facilitate the transition to account management and ensure a seamless service handover.


Formulate and implement strategic plans by integrating key personnel, processes, and functions to deliver tailored solutions for individual health system opportunities.

Collaborate with sales leaders, marketing, and operations to create market strategies and value propositions for pharmaceutical and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) clients.

Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to ensure a closing rate that meets annual objectives.

Stay informed about market changes affecting customers. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's unique products and those of competitors.

Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:

  • 10 years of proven success in laboratory/pharmaceutical sales and/or operations

Preferred Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in selling CRO services

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Curious, mentally agile, problem-solving skills – an applied learner. Strong proficiency in working with computers and computer systems.

Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of the diagnostic testing industry and the CRO/Contract Research sector, including central laboratory operations.

Skills:
Sales expertise, problem-solving abilities, relationship-building skills, business acumen, negotiation skills.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Master's Degree
