About the Role

At Outdoor Environments Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and creative Landscape Designer/Garden Designer to join our collaborative Landscape Architect team. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and executing designs for truly distinctive outdoor spaces per client request.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create Planting Designs for clients, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Develop Seasonal Plans and collaborate with our team to procure plants and materials.
  • Participate in Conceptual Design through team charrettes, ensuring that our designs meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
  • Develop AutoCAD Plans based on conceptual designs, using your expertise in 2D drafting and 3D modeling software.
  • Create Graphic Presentations for client communication, showcasing your skills in hand and computer-generated graphics.
  • Identify, Select, and Coordinate Materials, Vendors, and Subcontractors, ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Internal Quality Control for installation, ensuring that our work meets the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Develop Estimates and Client Proposals, using your expertise in budgeting and estimation.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Planting Specification & Design, Standard Construction Details & Industry Means/Methods, preferred.
  • Must be willing to engage in client communications and interaction, ensuring that our clients are satisfied with our services.
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills, including budgeting and estimation.
  • Confidence in hand and computer-generated graphics, showcasing your creativity and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/2D drafting and 3D modeling software (Sketchup), Adobe Suite, ensuring that our designs are accurate and visually appealing.
  • Desire to work as part of a dynamic team, developing personal and team goals.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking, ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Design Field, required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Landscape Architecture or design firm, preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Planting Design, preferred.
  • Landscape Architecture license, preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting at a desk and working on a computer, ensuring that our team is productive and efficient.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, ensuring that our team is equipped with the latest technology.
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, squatting on uneven terrain, ensuring that our team is physically fit and able to work in a variety of environments.
  • Must be able to occasionally move up to 15 pounds, ensuring that our team is able to lift and move equipment as needed.
  • Frequent work outdoors and subject to extreme heat/cold and other weather elements, ensuring that our team is able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
