Job Overview

Summary
Our client, a prominent commercial general contracting firm, is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a dedicated Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will take ownership of all engineering and technical aspects of projects, ensuring precision and quality from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee assigned engineering projects.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes, practices, quality assurance/quality control policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Engage with clients daily to understand their needs and represent them effectively on-site.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality control of project elements (budget, schedule, plans, team performance) and provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Delegate tasks and mentor the project team.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and other team members to offer assistance and technical support.
  • Review engineering outputs and implement necessary corrective measures.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of design and visualization software, particularly AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple disciplines within projects.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Effective decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Experience with BIM or Revit and LEED Accreditation is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while fostering teamwork and a positive attitude.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • 2-4 years of experience in construction is preferred.
