Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Field Engineer

Turner Construction is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCR's).
  • Implement and ensure compliance with Turner's site safety program and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and Turner staff to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Review all work as it is being placed to ensure accuracy within accepted tolerances.
  • Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
  • Assist in the preparation of project as-builts.

Requirements:

  • Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or a relevant field.
  • Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Basic understanding of scheduling programs is desired.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is typically an office or remote setting with occasional work at construction sites. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate in an office setting and moderate to loud at construction sites.
