Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Nursing Education Program Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing education programs for patients, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff, patients, and the community
  • Collaborate with the Education Department team and Clinical leadership to ensure education programs meet the needs of the hospital
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on age-related and culturally competent patient care
  • Identify and address safety concerns and implement measures to provide a safe environment
  • Assess educational needs and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs
  • Coordinate programs, projects, and events with Nursing, CS MDRH departments, and community throughout the Cedars-Sinai Health System
  • Facilitate orientation and training for Nursing and Health System staff
  • Market educational programs to the health system and the external community
  • Design educational programs based on inter and intradepartmental research and clinical research findings
  • Participate in committees and shared governance initiatives
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Masters of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Valid CA Registered Nurse License
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • PALS and ANCC Specialty Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years experience teaching required
  • Experience teaching while communicating effectively in English (written and verbal communication) with persons of various cultural and educational backgrounds
