About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Management Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Materials and Process Engineering organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of materials used in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creation and maintenance of material and process specifications
  • Creation and maintenance of RMD and supplier test instructions
  • Material obsolescence tracking and management
  • Review and approval of material shelf life
  • Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain organizations by resolving issues related to the procurement of material and other tasks to ensure the use of compliant material at RMD
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in engineering technical writing and specifications (internal or commercial or military)
  • Ability to communicate with parties within and outside of own discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Must set high quality standard and be action oriented
