Overview:


Bowhead is seeking an Instructional Coordinator - Mid to deliver training in support of the Joint Ballistic Missile Defense Training and Education Center (JBTEC).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and upkeep of training materials, as well as the initial and ongoing education of JBTEC training personnel; responsible for instructing individuals and groups, frequently in field settings, on all individual, collective, and implied tasks.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions in alignment with government and JBTEC standards.
  • Foster an effective learning environment by preparing classrooms and supporting materials, while encouraging active student participation.
  • Communicate proficiently in both verbal and written formats with students, government representatives, and fellow JBTEC staff.
  • Participate in various collaborative course development and project teams.
  • When designated, act as a Course Manager or Focused Area Manager, responsible for developing and maintaining relevant course materials.
  • Plan, lead, and implement Mobile Training Team (MTT) initiatives to various locations globally.
  • Engage in quarterly instructor training, including delivering enrichment presentations to fellow instructors.
  • Maintain certification and proficiency in all assigned training areas, including but not limited to: cybersecurity, network operations, restricted area escort protocols, and awareness of anti-terrorism and insider threats.
  • Collaborate with military and civilian students and personnel from all branches of service and DOD organizations, as well as other governmental entities and appropriately cleared foreign students.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time is required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of proven instructional experience and/or operational expertise relevant to curriculum.
  • Must achieve qualification through the JBTEC Instructor Training Program within six (6) months of commencing duties.
  • Experience in training, missile defense, and courseware development; ten (10) years of experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Instructor certification from DOTD, AETC, or NAVEDTRA is advantageous.
  • Previous experience at combatant command levels (PACOM, EUCOM, CENTCOM), Aegis SWO/BMD experience, or prior roles at NMCC, N2C2, GOC, JOC, AOC, MOC, TOC, or TAOC with IAMD responsibilities is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the ADA, SHORAD, Fighter, Bomber, EW, or ABM sectors is beneficial.

Security Clearance Requirements:
Must currently possess a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a prerequisite for Top Secret/SCI clearance at this position.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
