Job Title: Financial Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Clerk to join our team at Snow College. As a Financial Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various financial tasks, including posting transactions, processing departmental deposits, and balancing records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post transactions to student accounts and process departmental deposits daily
  • Operate cash drawer, computer terminal, adding machine, credit card machine, and calculator to perform work
  • Balance records at end of workday
  • Prepare Daily Cash Report at end of each workday in conjunction with balancing drawer
  • Handle cash, checks, provide customer service, and answer questions
  • Process incoming mail and record in proper accounts
  • Perform related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent, college degree preferred but not required
  • Proficient keyboarding and 10 key skills
  • Competent computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word (experience with accounting software preferred)
  • Ability to operate printer, copier, fax machine, etc.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic and mathematical calculations
  • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with people in person and over the phone
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and goals of the College
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines

As a part-time employee of Snow College, you will be eligible for various benefits, including a Snow College Part-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card, which entitles you to general admission or discounted prices for athletic and cultural events, Snow College library card issuance, computer network, Web, and e-mail access, bookstore sponsored discounts, and other discounts associated with the ID card at either campus.

Supervisors have the right to terminate the privileges at any time during the fiscal year. Non-inherent privileges, such as college parties or gatherings, professional development activities, office/computer/telephone access, current expense budgets, may be provided to part-time employees only at department discretion.
