Key Responsibilities

The SSMI serves as the primary supervisor overseeing the entire examination and recruitment process for the Department of Education. This position entails managing a team of three analysts and may require occasional travel to various educational sites. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading, mentoring, and guiding staff while ensuring their professional development and training.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the Examination and Recruitment Office, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Developing and managing the Annual Exam Plan, collaborating with program managers to assess and prioritize examination needs.
  • Reviewing and supervising the work of staff conducting Job Analysis sessions to determine appropriate examination tools and plans.

Work Environment

This position is based in a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office presence for eligible candidates residing in California.
