Machine Controls Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Machine Controls Development Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Metco.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThis role offers hands-on experience with various technologies, including PLCs, vision systems, drives, cobots, and robots. As a Machine Controls Development Engineer, you will work closely with experienced Controls Engineers to design machine controls, troubleshoot manufacturing machinery, and improve machine productivity.
You will be responsible for analyzing machine faults and implementing countermeasures to enhance machine safety. Additionally, you will collaborate with Controls Engineers to assign projects, build machine controls, and assist in troubleshooting production equipment during regular production shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Designing machine controls using software such as Rockwell-Allen Bradley, Cognex, Keyence vision systems, and Fanuc Cobots/Robots
- Troubleshooting manufacturing machinery and improving machine productivity by reducing cycle times
- Analyzing machine faults and implementing counters to enhance machine safety
- Collaborating with Controls Engineers to assign projects, build machine controls, and troubleshoot production equipment
- Satisfactory completion of freshman year with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- High School or entry-level AutoCAD knowledge preferred
- Able to complete the cooperative education program in accordance with their College's or University's guidelines
