Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA is a leading generics business with plans to move into the innovative market. We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer Specialist to join our team in Monroe, NC.

Job Description:
Position Summary:

This role involves integrating new automation platforms and systems, developing user requirement specifications, and designing qualification documents for new equipment and projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper design reviews, writing automation programs, and troubleshooting control and automation problems at the site. They will also manage software programming, platforms, and standards to integrate site process systems for specific applications.

The Automation Engineer Specialist will participate in factory acceptance testing, develop and execute a plan for correcting automation and control problems, and assist maintenance staff in troubleshooting issues. They will provide training for maintenance staff and strive for minimum downtime due to automation and controls issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Integration of new automation platforms and systems
  • Developing user requirement specifications and designing qualification documents
  • Ensuring proper design reviews and troubleshooting control and automation problems
  • Managing software programming, platforms, and standards
  • Participating in factory acceptance testing and providing training for maintenance staff

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7-10 years of experience in a similar technical role. Proficiency in electrical design and programming, automation and controls PLC platforms, networks and serial communications, vision systems, HMI/SCADA/Building Management systems, servo drives and VFDs, safety PLCs and safety relays.
