Job Summary

CorVel is seeking a highly skilled Telephonic Nurse Advocate to join our team. As a 24/7 Triage Nurse Specialist, you will provide critical care to injured workers through telephonic first aid, utilizing nationally recognized standards of care to facilitate treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Telephonic Assessment and Treatment: Provide telephonic assessment and make treatment recommendations for injured workers using national telephonic triage protocols.
  • Provider Recommendations: Recommend appropriate providers based on state law and employer's preferred provider network requirements.
  • Self-Care Instructions: Educate callers on self-care instructions based on national telephonic triage protocols.
  • Plan of Care: Communicate plan of care to customer contacts and/or supervisor.
  • Response Evaluation: Evaluate injured worker's response to first aid recommendations within a specified timeframe.
  • Clinical Documentation: Document clinical assessments in an organized, concise format and submit written reports within a specified timeframe.
  • Licensure: Maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse in 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a diploma/Associates degree (Bachelor of Science degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Experience: 3 or more years of clinical experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, emergency room, home health care (Telephone triage/Workers' Compensation experience preferred).
