Job Summary

Under the direction of the director of special education or designee, the speech and language pathologist provides specialized instruction and services for students who have speech and language disorders. The speech and language pathologist assesses and participates in individualized education program (IEP) meetings, consults with IEP team members, and participates in the MTSS/SST process.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders
  • Provide specialized instruction and services to students in a non-classroom based setting
  • Consult with IEP team members and school staff to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
  • Participate in the MTSS/SST process to support student learning and achievement

Requirements
  • Valid California teaching credential as a speech and language pathologist
  • English Learner Authorization (if not embedded in credential)
