Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations on the production floor at Reischling Press, Inc. This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership and communication skills to maintain the balance between quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Ensure production targets are met by managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and overseeing labor management.
  • Provide necessary training to staff and ensure compliance with maintenance and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a culture of safety and collaboration by fostering productive relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach and mentor production leads, providing both positive reinforcement and corrective feedback.
  • Establish fair accountability standards for all employees and conduct regular performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and address production issues and proactively recommend and implement workflow improvements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours to accommodate fluctuating production demands.
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and adherence to leave policy by verifying timecards and recording absences.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in a light manufacturing environment, demonstrating proficiency in guiding teams toward operational excellence.
  • High School Diploma/GED, complemented by a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear and concise interaction across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook for email communication.
  • Demonstrate strong self-management skills with the ability to make independent decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven track record of providing comprehensive training to employees across diverse departments and functions.
  • Effective and tactful communication when addressing employee concerns or deviations from plans.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a moderately loud environment.
  • Flexibility to perform physical tasks such as twisting, turning, and bending throughout the shift.
  • Sharp vision for color detail.
