Position: Strategic Software Sales Specialist

The Strategic Software Sales Specialist is responsible for formulating and executing the regional strategy for Information Solutions software sales and related Network services. This role involves crafting business sales strategies and implementing plans across designated territories to achieve or surpass established revenue and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals by expanding sales within new and existing accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and various lead generation methods.
  • Oversee the sales process, including lead qualification, product demonstrations, proposal development, and negotiations.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach to initiate, nurture, and expand business relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients to devise relevant solutions that address their key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicate customer requirements effectively to project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Employ systematic thinking to comprehend complex business systems and processes for securing business.
  • Work in tandem with internal teams and cultivate relationships with external partners to create strategic initiatives and develop necessary technology solutions.
  • Adopt a learning mindset to understand customer operations and apply consultative selling techniques to offer unique insights into their industry.
  • Guide customer stakeholders and foster consensus for Information Solutions products and services within their organizations.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes in complex discussions involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to assist clients in presenting technical solutions while accurately interpreting their requirements.
  • Adapt communication style and content to suit various organizational levels effectively.
  • Adhere to established CRM sales and communication protocols.
  • Document account activities, opportunity statuses, and other relevant details.
  • Create an annual regional business plan with specific revenue and margin objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and strategies to support our investment in talent and resources.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of proven success in selling complex software solutions, with a preference for SaaS experience. Familiarity with Enterprise software applications, including ERP, MES, Supply Chain, or PLM solutions for process manufacturers is advantageous.
  • A strong passion for manufacturing and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to systematically address problems and identify potential customer challenges and needs.
  • Experience leveraging both rational and emotional factors to drive negotiations and set realistic expectations with clients.
  • Ability to quickly identify key customer stakeholders and build relationships to facilitate deal consensus; collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset, capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a technical field is required; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Direct experience and extensive knowledge of renewable technologies and related systems are preferred.
This position reports directly to the Regional Services & Solutions (SaS) Manager.

Travel Requirements:
Some regional and local travel is necessary, including occasional overnight stays.
