Summary:
The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the success of Team Rehabilitation. The primary focus is to assist patients in achieving their recovery goals and enhancing their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality support during treatment sessions. This includes welcoming and reassuring patients as they prepare for therapy. Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and offer encouragement as needed. Adhere to the treatment plan developed by the therapist. Assist therapists with non-clinical duties and support the patient's journey in therapy. Educate patients on the safe and correct use of equipment. Aid patients with light exercises and strengthening activities. Support the application of therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation. Assist patients in safely navigating between areas of the clinic. Ensure effective communication with patients, healthcare providers, and team members regarding care and follow-ups. Maintain a professional and friendly rapport with patients and colleagues. Keep treatment areas organized and sanitized after each use. Comply with all operational procedures and regulations. Maintain productivity levels and document any progress or changes observed. Additional Duties:
The Physical Therapy Aide reports to the clinic director and may undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
No specific educational background or experience required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
